Academy YCS.

Ok so for people who don't know what a YCS is, they're Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments irl. They start of with a swiss round and then go to a top (64), but as we won't have that many people lol, we will do a top 8.

Best 2 out of 3 match, TCG, banned decks: Prophecy, Dragon Rulers, Evilswarm, Burn, Mill (not lightsworn), Any Alternate win condition decks, stall and lockdown.

We need Judges for the tournament, so if you want to be one post  here(the head judge is Yugiohmania827 and if he is there and you think the judge is wrong, you can appeal to him), also note you can still be in the tournament if you're a judge.

Also, with the inclusion of the articles section, if anyone wants to do a decklist and/or what happened to them during the tourney (like their matchups and what happened) it would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure people would enjoy reading them.

I have a question, because it says prophecy are banned, can I use my spellbook deck that doesnt use a single prophecy in it? It is an old school spellcaster deck that has spellbooks in it.....
It is an endymion spellcaster deck, but it has spellbooks just to rack up the spell counters on the field spell and star hall for mega-ton magical cannon

I don't really want to allow it because new spellbook cards have made it much better (especially SB of judgment) so i am going to say no to even spellbooks

That just sounds like butthurt. At least look at the decklist before making your decree.

Also, just a little bit of minor criticism: taking away the meta kind of ruins the entire purpose of the YCS. Because in all honesty, all YCSes have people running the meta in them. If you can't deal with the meta, then that's kind of your fault.

If you're going to strip the power of using Dragon Rulers or Prophecy from people, then this is more like a locals tournament and not really like a YCS...
