HDA & ADA YCS Season 1

Okay then, we here at ADA are doing a joint tourney with a different acadamey HDA (Heavens Duel Academy). They are one of our affiliates so if you need the link it is located in the affiliates widget (the things to the side of the middle part of the screen). As there has already been a great explanation of the tourney made by the head admin at HDA, I will put it here in a quote so you can read it.

Hello and a good day to everyone! Today we will be launching what will hopefully be the largest tournament yet in the histories of academies! We will be merging with (ADA) Armageddon Duel Academy to make this the best and largest tournament yet.

For those of you who don't know, YCS are the Konami-sponsored IRL tournaments. This tournament will follow all of Konami rules which means:

Deck Rules:
1. TCG March 2013 ban list is in effect.

2. You must PM me with your full deck list including Side Deck and Extra Deck. You are allowed only 1 deck for the entirety of the competition. The deck that top will be shown to the academy. You can use any deck from dragon rulers to burn deck but no banned cards.

Tournament Setup:
1. There will be a number of initial Swiss System Rounds, where each round you will be paired with someone who has won the same number of matches as you. The number of these Swiss Rounds will depend on the final number of competitors for the tournament.

2. After the Swiss Rounds are completed, the people with the Top 32 scorers will proceed to a single elimination tournament. At the beginning of this tournament.

3. All pairing will be using challonge.com.

4. All duels are match duels. You will play best 2 out of 3 and are allowed to use your side deck after the 1st and 2nd games.

Time Zones will not factor into pairings.
Again, please note that along with your registration you are REQUIRED to PM me with your FULL DECK LIST. If you do not do this by the time the tournament begins you will be disqualified.

Dueling:
This tournament will take a while so you will have up to 3 days to get your duel done if not it will end up as a draw and we wouldn't want that. Find away to set up the duel with your opponent if you can add him on DN so when you guys are on at the same time you guys duel.If your opponent isn't active in those 3 day make sure you tell me so i can his DN account before giving you the win

i see Hmm Unfortunately i will not be joining Due to reasons of my own
However i openly welcome all members to give it a shot!

DN cobradeathstrike time zone is EDT or something like that im not good with my time zones

this tourney is gonna be pretty hard since all the decks are allowed... I guess that im gonna have to make a top tier deck to stay in the tourney but hopefully in the end it will be a lot of fun
Also for this touney I think i should get people from DN because I doubt we'll have 32 people who'll duel. What do you guys think?

That's a problem because finding exodia cards in real life is hard but making an exodia deck on DN is really easy... so... I really don't know if this will work out nicely because if people start using meta or burn/stall then a lot of people will just rage and then probably quit the tourney( I think)

Looks like another soon to be affiliate of HDA might want in on the big YCS and that academy is UNA making this a 3 academy YCS. lets see if they want to join
